Our first days on foreign soil

Chris Thoughts
We have been in the UK for 1 day now.  It is cold and rainy and everything around London is very expensive.  Our backpacks seem to weigh about twice as much as they originally did because we have done a lot of walking.  I am looking forward to Glasgow, we are hoping the weather is a little better and the cost of things goes down a little.

Jayda's Thoughts

Honestly London is not to exciting. I knew it would be super expensive, that is why we only planned two days here. It takes $1.66 to = £1. OUCH! Right now we are in a little town of London called Southend on Sea. It looks like a lot more fun than London. Last night we stayed with a very friendly couple here. Meeting them was the most exciting part of yesterday. Alana walked us home and we got some Asian food and met Martin who had made pizza and had a lovely dinner. They were very nice to give us lots of advice about the area. They met in Glasgow and she showed us tons of pictures of Scotland. I am very excited about Scotland. It looks beautiful! By the way the internet is not picking up good around here so we haven't much time to write. Got to go now because our internet time is up at the library :)

  3. I'm glad you guys are finally on your journey. My co-teacher is from London, and he said Covent Garden and piccadilly circus areas would be good to go visit if you are only gonna be there for a couple of days. Good luck and hope you enjoy
