Southend on Sea- London and Glasgow, Scotland

Jayda's Thoughts:

Yesterday we spent the day outside of London in Southend. It is a very old town that is on the sea. We went to the world's longest pier, although the walkway was closed so we only got to look. The beach was rocky, but fun. I found all kinds of cool sea shells. We also went to their Museum which was free and really neat. They have LOTS of history. We ate fish and chips and a curry roll for lunch(this seems to be the typical meal). Although I fed most of my "chips"(or fries) to the birds. It was funny. We later traveled by plane to Glasgow, Scotland. I really like it here. The people are much more friendly. We have a room for tonight also and we think we might travel to Edinburg or northern Scotland next. The trains are much cheaper here than in London so we can do a lot more. Today so far we have just walked around the local shops and went to an Art Museum. Hopefully our ipod will get fixed tomorrow and we can blog more.

Chris's Thoughts:

Glasgow...Better than London.  It is so much cheaper here and life here is more laid back.   This is a beautiful city and is easy to get around, there are open streets just to walk on.  Yesterday was better though, we stayed in Southend on the coast.  It was a quaint little town and not as hectic as London.   The museum there was very nice and we got to learn a lot of their history there.  I am looking forward to the next couple of days traveling Scotland.
